Stop Beating the Donkey

The Message Bible - Numbers 22 (26-27) - God’s angel blocked the way yet again—a very narrow passage this time; there was no getting through on the right or left. Seeing the angel, Balaam’s donkey sat down under him. Balaam lost his temper; he beat the donkey with his stick. (This was the third beating)

Take a deep breath. Take a step back. Relax. Pause...Stop beating the donkey. Stop trying to push your way through an unauthorized door...a door that God has closed because He has something better in store for you.

What if that "stubborn donkey" is what God is using to prevent you from moving in the wrong direction? Oftentimes we wrongfully blame the enemy, when it might just be God???
