Don't Knock the Agitator

Have you ever found yourself in a deep, controversial discussion with someone and all you wanted to do was hang up the phone? You kept taking deep breaths because... you didn't want to hang up and be considered RUDE. You kept hoping that the call would drop so you could easily say afterward, "I didn't hang up on you, the call dropped." The person on the other end of the line was such an agitator...wearing your patience thin.

Well, compare that phone call to life: life happens. You encounter a situation - that drags on and on and on... You keep wishing something will happen to make it disappear. It's draining; it's frustrating; it's wearisome! But then...one day you wake up and it's gone. And you look back and think, "it wasn't that bad after all."

Compare it with an old fashioned washing machine. The machine keeps agitating and agitating, back and forth, until the end result is clean clothing. If the agitator wasn't doing its job, the outcome would not be what it should be: completely clean!

Remember - James 1:3,4: Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
